At the end of the Post-Idea Fellowship the Grand Pitch takes place which offers an opportunity to pitch your start-up in front of a diverse group of angel investors and early-stage VC funds. We will help you prepare for this virtual event during feedback and mentoring sessions.
At EWOR, we pride ourselves on our reliable and supportive network of successful entrepreneurs who function as speakers and mentors alike. With over 140 past and present Fellows, all EWOR programme participants are part of this vast network.
There is no incubation fee for the Post-Idea Fellowship. We will invest in selected start-ups with up to €150k at a €1.5m valuation cap and will only acquire equity in case we invest.

Dr. Sebastian, an Oxford medicine graduate in the top 10%, transitioned from a seasoned doctor to an influential management consultant at McKinsey. Here, he spearheaded the surge of the UK COVID testing programme, ramping up from ground zero to 200k tests daily, and orchestrating a team growth from 5 to 5,000.
Later at QuantumBlack, he delved into Life Sciences AI product innovation. His strengths lie in analytical problem-solving paired with exceptional storytelling.

Mark, an esteemed design engineer, is pursuing his PhD in Engineering at the University of Cambridge. He co-founded and heads Cambridge Surgical Models, clinching the 2023 Cambridge University Entrepreneurs’ £20,000 accolade.
With a background as a Research Fellow at Nottingham Trent, funded by a £100,658 InnovateUK grant, Mark’s influential work is highlighted in numerous media.
He’s also an acclaimed author of scientific papers, and Develop3D Magazine lauded him as a top British graduate designer in 2014.

What is the difference between the Pre-Idea and Post-Idea Fellowships?For those who don’t have a business idea yet, the EWOR Pre-Idea Fellowship is an entirely remote 6-month programme that turns an aspiring entrepreneur into a business owner. For those who do have a business idea or already launched their start-up, the EWOR Post-Idea Fellowship is designed to help them scale their venture. The 6-month Post-Idea programme is split into two phases to make it the most effective. As founders of some of the most successful companies in Europe, our lecturers and mentors have all learned first-hand what it takes to succeed in the business world. They give engaging live lectures in phase one, while the second phase gives EWOR members access to hundreds of resources on our platform, network, and feedback sessions with our mentors.

What is the time commitment for the EWOR Post-Idea Fellowship?The EWOR Post-Idea Fellowship is a 6-month programme that consists of a live lecture phase (P1) and a platform and support phase (P2). Typically, P1 requires about eight hours per week and P2 is the most effective when talents invest at least 20 hours.

Where can I apply to the EWOR Post-Idea Fellowship?Please use the application form on our website to apply for our programmes. It’s an extensive questionnaire that inquires about your experiences, motivations, and qualifications. Applicants typically take at least 30 minutes to complete the questionnaire.

Can I apply with my co-founder?Unlike accelerators, EWOR focuses on individuals to create the most value for your start-up. We recommend that only the (future) CEO of the company applies to the EWOR Post-Idea Fellowship.

From what industries do you accept companies?While we encourage the development of impactful ventures in areas like health tech, machine learning, or artificial intelligence, we do not limit our talent pool to a specific industry. We accept founders and aspiring entrepreneurs from all industries.

How many talents do you accept per programme?The EWOR Pre-Idea and Post-Idea Fellowships have an acceptance rate of 1%.Our selection committee consists of successful serial entrepreneurs and startup investors - including several unicorn founders.

What time are the live sessions and do I need to attend them?The live sessions are in the late afternoon or early evening CET time, but you will receive information on your schedule during the onboarding process. We do expect our Post-Idea Fellows to be present for these feedback sessions. However, we understand that in some cases, circumstances will prohibit talents from participating.
